Hansie van der Walt has 52 years of experience in all aspects of civil engineering. During my carrier I was working for Consulting Engineer’s for 24 years, for local authorities 22 years and for contractors 8 years. With the consulting engineers I have been on design and construction of roads, stormwater, services and structural construction (bridges and major culverts) for the past 30 years as supervisory engineer and management on construction and rehabilitation projects including major urban streets, freeways, rural roads, bulk earthworks, development, service and water main pipes. With the Local Authorities I was involved in the design and construction of all types of municipal service projects. During my career with contractors, I was in a managerial capacity (Senior Contracts Manager) on the construction and rehabilitation of several large road projects. I also was working for a company who specialised in seals and road surfacing. My experience in all civil engineering and building field are quite strong and the ability to trouble shoot good.

I, Mr van der Walt has a wide range of experience in project management, civil engineering projects and rehabilitation of projects which including interfaces with related services and utilities. The involved task of co-ordinating and arranging all the various disciplines, authorities and facilities has been handled smoothly and efficiently and has contributed in no small way to ensuring delivery of well construct facilities on time and within budget. Building of my Engineering background I have developed an outstanding ability to manage and co-ordinate a variety of role players to meet the required outcome. In addition, my grasp of economic principals and financial management makes myself ideally suited in acting as a project manage on engineering projects. In addition, I can operate away from the office on my own, taking full responsibility and control of projects.
